WHAT SIZE IS A MINI SKIP, AND HOW MUCH CAN IT HOLD?
A mini skip typically holds about 2 cubic meters of waste, equivalent to approximately 25 black bin bags or approximately 2 small trailer loads.
WHAT TYPES OF WASTE CAN I PUT IN A MINI SKIP AND WHAT NOT?
You can dispose of general household wast, garden waste, and light construction debris. Please contact us for a detailed list.
We do not accept hazardous waste, including asbestos, chemicals, and certain electronics. Please contact us for a detailed list of prohibited items.
HOW SHORT OR LONG CAN I KEEP THE MINI SKIP?
The standard hire period for a mini skip is up to 3 days, but shorter periods are available at adjusted rates. Extensions however can be arranged on request and may incur additional charges.
WHERE CAN THE SKIP BE PLACED?
Skips should be placed on private property, such as a driveway. If placement on public land is necessary, a permit may be required.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY WASTE AFTER COLLECTION?
Collected waste is transported to authorised facilities. Recyclable materials are processed accordingly, while non-recyclables are disposed of responsibly.
HOW MUCH DO I PAY FOR MY MINI SKIP HIRE?
Pricing can vary based on the type of waste, the number of days, the number of skips required, and the collection frequency, so we recommend reaching out for a tailored quote.
Please note: If your location falls outside our Northern Suburbs service areas, a travel surcharge may apply.
HOW DOES SKIP ADVERTISING WORKS?
Your advertisement is displayed on the sides of our skips, transforming them into mobile billboards that promote your brand across multiple locations. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY MINI SKIP HIRE?
We accept PAYMENT IN FULL by EFT OR CASH, and you can choose to pay BEFORE DELIVERY, ON DELIVERY, OR WHEN WE COLLECT THE SKIP, whichever suits you best, as long as payment is made within that timeframe.

WHAT IS RESPONSIBLE WASTE MANAGEMENT?
It involves disposing of waste in a manner that minimises environmental impact, including recycling and adhering to legal disposal methods.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE WASTE IS DISPOSED OF RESPONSIBLY?
We sort recyclable materials and send them to designated facilities. Non-recyclables are transported to authorised landfill sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
DO YOU RECYCLE THE WASTE COLLECTED?
Yes, we prioritise recycling and ensure that all recyclable materials are processed appropriately.

DO YOU ONLY RENT OUT MINI SKIPS?
Yes, at the moment PWM Skips offers only mini skip rentals. As a growing business, we’re currently focused on providing a reliable and efficient mini skip service. However, we’re always looking ahead, and may expand our offering to include larger skip sizes in the future. Stay tuned!
WHAT IF MY NEIGHBOUR STARTS USING MY SKIP?
It happens more than you think. While we can’t police sneaky neighbours, a friendly chat or a “Private Skip” sign usually does the trick. Or invite them to split the cost.
DO I NEED A PERMIT IF THE SKIP ISN'T GOING ON MY PROPERTY?
If your skip will be placed on a public road, pavement, or council-owned area, you may need a permit from your local municipality. It’s always best to check first. We will help you if and where we can.
DO YOU REMOVE EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE TOO?
Sadly, no. But we do take care of household junk, renovation mess, and the stress that comes with it. One skip at a time.
